The Underwriting team supports our dealerships and customers by manually reviewing and processing finance applications, whilst interacting with many other internal departments on a daily basis. 

What will you be doing?

  • Underwriting new business applications within your mandate level in line with compliance requirements
  • Taking inbound calls from our account managers and dealerships to assist them with any queries
  • Ensuring all relevant checks are completed accurately before underwriting the application
  • Making recommendations to those with the relevant mandate level on the application outcome

Life in the team

The department are a very close team so you will never be short of support. You will be kept busy so if you thrive when working under pressure and like your days to go super quickly, then this role could be perfect for you.

You will have a clear structure with your development as your Underwriting mandate will increase as you progress. Your role will involve a lot of investigatory work and liaising with other internal departments such a Fraud to look deeper into those applications that you feel necessary.

Hours of work will be between 09:00-20:00 Monday-Friday, 09:00-18:00 Saturday, 10:00-17:00 Sundays (this will be on a rota basis, you will be working 1 in 3 weekends), and 10:00-17:00 bank holidays, again on a rota basis.

  • Underwriting experience is desirable

What does the process look like?

We will let you know either way the outcome of your telephone interview and an invite may follow to attend a competency based interview at our Head Office in Cardiff.
