Our Motor Products Team, a high performing team key in determining and overseeing the range of offerings that are available to customers in the Motor market whilst working with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, Risk and Operations functions.

The role of Product Analyst is important to us. You will provide dedicated support to our Product and Propositions Team pulling Data and MI from a variety of sources and Manipulating the Data into the required formats in order to support projects and present to key stakeholders.

This role will be based in our Cardiff office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

What would your day look like?

  • Be accountable for ensuring the highest degree of data integrity
  • Creates and maintains executive views and reporting dashboards of critical metrics used in strategic decision making
  • Provides product reporting for inclusion in forum and committee packs
  • Works with Proposition Development Managers to ensure robust metrics and reporting for all new products and propositions introduced
  • Prepares data/reporting to validate ROI and value potential within commercial opportunities identified by the Proposition Development Team
  • Collaborates with Business Change Teams to research and deliver automated reporting that promotes sales efficiency and drives success.
  • Provides data and reporting for inclusion in financial business cases for new products and new propositions
  • Works with Product Managers to optimise existing product reporting
  • Provides data and reporting for resolution of complex problems and product related risk events
  • Provides data and reporting for completion of annual regulated and thematic product reviews
  • Provides data and reporting which informs Product Managers of product value, customer outcomes, commercial performance and supplier performance
  • Ensure all new data sources are given a clear definition, aligning with group where possible
  • Participates in projects as requested by management
  • Provides deep data expertise to the team and wider business

 

What do we expect of you?

 

  • advanced excel skills, with demonstratable experience using pivot tables, graphs, calculations (such as VLOOKUP and INDEX/MATCH), and automation to efficiently process large and relevant quantities of data
  • Presents data in a manner that can be understood by all audiences and assisting in the interpretation of results to stakeholders
  • Able to Identify and consults on other sources of usable data such as data from customer or dealer surveys, CSI and external platform hosts and leveraging internal relationships to ensure its seamless implementation into the data warehouse
  • Logical approach to data management and reporting
  • Understands where data issues can impact data integrity and reliability
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to build effective relationships across the business and work collaboratively across a range of teams
  • Ability to follow procedures and work within a regulated environment
  • Effective communicator across all mediums
  • Committed to good customer outcomes and building customer value
