The Motor Products Team play a key role in determining and overseeing the range of offerings that are available to customers in the Motor market.

The role of Product Manager is really important to us. You will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of existing products.  You will execute the Product Management Policy and Group Product Governance Framework, ensuring that current and new customers and business needs are fully understood whilst adhering to both the spirit and letter of regulation and compliance.

This role will be based in our Cardiff office however, you will be able to work a blend of both home and office each week. You’ll be made to feel part of your new team by your Line Manager, and colleagues through regular contact and virtual interaction.

What would your day look like?

  • Effectively managing a portfolio of existing products using MI, insight and feedback
  • Provides deep product expertise across relevant projects and initiatives
  • Executes annual Strategic Product Reviews and owns arising actions
  • Develops and delivers Product Roadmaps with an iterative approach to product development
  • Communicates product development updates and progress with key stakeholders
  • Delivers and interprets robust regular product reporting, working with Product analysts to optimise where appropriate
  • Monitors customer and user feedback informing product design, requesting further research and insight where appropriate
  • Resolves complex product related risk events
  • Uses product reporting to understand and articulate product value, customer outcomes, commercial performance and supplier performance, acting where appropriate
  • Completes robust thematic reviews or gap analysis in response to emerging themes, risks and opportunities

 

What do we expect of you?

  • Experience of managing and reviewing products, ideally within a regulated environment
  • Experience of delivering change as part of a cross-functional teams
  • Experience in financial services or similarly complex sectors
  • In depth knowledge of the motor finance industry
  • Commercial and analytical skills with an ability to articulate into insights and opportunities
  • Experience in complex problem solving
  • Ability to build effective relationships across the business and work collaboratively across a range of teams
  • Committed to good customer outcomes and building customer value
  • Effective at planning and managing own workload and have the ability to split time between reactive tasks and planned project work
